Our story

Hear about the story of Oliver Asset Management, why we were founded, the journey we've been on and where we are today.

2005

Oliver Asset Management was founded by Roland Oliver in May 2005 with an office in Morningside Edinburgh after over 30 years working in Financial services corporate organisations.  His original purpose was to provide a better form of customer focussed advice and planning than what was available at the time.  

2009

The business moved from Morningside to Musselburgh and found a great office location in Eskmills in 2009

2013

Nikki joined the business to support Roland in September 2013 as our Office Manager.

2019
 

Jonathan joined the business in September 2019 with a view to increase the size of the business and allow Roland to see his own retirement on the horizon

2022

A management buyout led by Jonathan taking the business forward was agreed and actioned in April 2022 with Roland assisting in all handovers in the following 12 months.
 
Roland subsequently retired from Oliver Asset Management.

2024

Marta joined the business after a career break and starting a family in August 2024 

2025
 

Norman joined the business in May 2025 as one of our Chartered Financial Planners.
